Hey all! I promised to deliver some fun photos from our trip to Yosemite last weekend. Our main purpose in going was to visit the Sequoia trees in parts of the park. Sequoias are only found in 65 groves in the world with the Sierra Nevada mountains housing many of those groves. So they are a very rare tree!
When you stand next to these trees, you feel so dwarfed. Up close I took 5 photos from top to bottom, just to get the height of the tree. But I hiked back a few yards more and was able to capture the tree from bottom to top in 2 shots that I pieced together. It just doesn't do justice to the magnitude of these trees though.
Orion was so enamored with being in the mountains. This was the first time he was in the mountains where he was old enough to really experience it. He was in love with the pine cones.
Sometimes it's just nice to take a break from city life and get out into nature. I love to shop as much as the next girl, but there is something so real and peaceful about being outdoors and experiencing a different kind of beauty. :)
