Welcome to Part 2 of the series! Check out Part 1 (Blondes) if you haven't already. Okay, so brunettes can have it good and bad. Bad because it can be the hair color that is the most difficult to work with in achieving the correct tone and good because dark hair reflects the light making your hair look healthy and flawless. So how can you get your perfect color without the hiccups? Continue on to the quiz:
1. With no make up on, my skin looks:
A. Pale, very little color
B. Yellowish or maybe even ruddy
C. Reddish or dark
2. My eye color is:
A. Blue or grey
B. Green or hazel
C. Brown or black
3. When choosing a red lipstick, I go for:
A. Fire engine red or dark burgundy
B. Brick red or pinkish reds
C. Coral red or orangey reds
If you're mostly A's:
- You would look best with cool, matte brown hair colors. Think of a gorgeous mahogany brown base, with maybe a few warm caramel highlights to warm up your look. You would also look really good with black hair and maybe even some violet or blue tones to it. Examples:
If you're mostly B's:
- You would look great with a warm brown or cool brown color! With your skin type and choice of cosmetics, you can pull off many of the brunette shades without being over powered or washed out. Try a milk chocolate shade with some wisps of dark blonde in the front, or a matte brown shade with a lot of shine! Look to these for examples:
If yo're mostly C's:
- Your perfect shades are warm brunette colors! It can be tricky to get your desired color because of underlying pigment, which can make your hair look a little too brassy or orange, but if you have a great colorist, you can have amazing brunette color! Try a color with a little red in it like a gorgeous auburn brown, or even a coppery gold color. Examples here:
