Info Post

Woo hoo!  It's Friday!  And you know what that means...it's time for a quick and fun updo! :)

I love braids and I love trying to think of different ways to style them.  I was inspired to do a "halo" look with this fishtail braid after seeing a few celebrities rock them for events.  Hope you enjoy!

Fishtail Halo: Estimated Time: 10 minutes; Hair Length: Short to Long

Tools:

Dry shampoo or some kind of texturizing spray
2 bobby pins
1 hair grip

Preparation:

Prep your hair by spraying some dry shampoo on the root area in the front and crown.  This will create a "mussy"texture to give the look a more bohemian vibe.

Part your hair to one side and starting just above the ear, begin a fishtail braid.  Separate two equal sections of hair.

Take a small length of hair from one section and cross it over to the other section of hair.

Take a small length of hair from the second section and cross it over to the first section of hair.  It is like you are making tiny X's.

Continue in this pattern until you get down to the ends of your hair and then secure with a hair grip.

With the hair grip in place, gently pull on your fishtail braid to loosen it up and give it a "fatter" appearance.

Now, bring the braid over the top of your hair and secure the ends to your hair by criss crossing the two bobby pins.  Remove the hair grip.

You can choose to leave your hair down, put it in a back ponytail, or place it in a side ponytail like I did.  Optional: Take a small length of hair from underneath your pony tail and wrap it around the hair grip to hide it.

That's it!  Simple and easy and great for second day hair.  Don't forget to tweet me photos of your Fab Hair!! (@TheLoveHanger)  Have a great weekend!
