Info Post

Today is the second installment of the Holiday Edition of Fab Hair Fridays!  If you missed last week's edition: Hot Cross Buns, click here.  Today I want to bring you a style that is a little romantic and very wistful.  Perfect updo for the person who doesn't have too much time to invest, but still wants a nice look.  Keep reading for the how-to!

Twisted Topsy Tail: Estimated Time: 15 minutes; Hair Length: Medium to Long

Tools:

Texture spray/ dry shampoo
Hair spray
Bobby pins
Hair grip
Teasing comb

Preparation:

Give your hair some texture by spraying a texture spray or dry shampoo all throughout your hair.

Tease your hair focusing on the crown area and a little on the sides of your head.  Decide if you want to part your hair to the side or if you want a look that is straight back.  Also decide what side you want your ponytail to fall on.

Beginning on one side of your head, grab a bit of hair and twist it toward your head.  Now grab a a small bit of hair right underneath that twist and twist it into your main twist.  Keep twisting and adding hair until you get to the back of your neck and secure with just a few bobby pins for the moment.

Do the same twist technique on the other side.

Carefully remove the bobby pins from the first twisted roll and grab the two twists and loosely secure with a hair grip.

Now we're going to make the Topsy Tail.  Split your ponytail into two sections and flip your hair in toward your head and pull it through the hole.  Tighten the ponytail just a bit to keep it secure.  Help keep your twists in place with a few bobby pins if needed.

Make sure everything is how you want and hair spray all over.

How did it turn out??  Tweet me a photo if you tried this updo; I'd love to see it! (@TheLoveHanger)
